Official Uniform Guide
Please note the following information for all classes:
- Hair must be tied back neatly at all times.
- Grade 1 and above Classical Ballet students must have their hair in a secure bun
- No jewellery to be worn in class
- All uniform to be clean and tidy at all times.

Acro Uniform
Junior Girls (Beginners, Preparatory & Primary)
- Purple shiny Lycra (vest strap) leotard with ruche front
- Black shiny hot pants
- Bare feet
Grade 1 and above - Girls
- Black leotard (thin strap, cotton (with built in bra if required))
- Black cotton hot pants
- Bare feet
Male students at all levels should wear a tight fitting black vest or leotard with black cycling shorts . Bare feet.
IMPORTANT - In order for us to conform to the safety regulations when teaching Acro, hair must be tied up neatly and no jewellery or loose clothing to be worn.
Classical Ballet Uniform
Junior Ballet - Melody Movement®, Preparatory, Primary or Introduction to Grade 1
Vocational - Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1 or Advanced 2
Contemporary Uniform
Juniors (Aged 7-9 years)
- Black leggings, tights or shorts
- Plain black leotard or vest
- Bare feet or black trainer socks can be worn.
Grade 1 and above
- Black footless tights
- Black leotard (thin strap, cotton)
- Black 'seam free' hot pants
- Bare feet
Lyrical Uniform
Junior Grades (Preparatory & Primary level)
- Lilac cotton Lycra scooped neck leotard with short sleeves
- Lilac, full circular, lyrical skirt (3/4 length) - made to order
- Bare feet and legs, or footless skin-coloured tights with bare feet*
Grades 1 & 2
- Lavendar RAD vest strap leotard
- Lilac, full circular, lyrical skirt (3/4 length) - made to order from Star Dancewear
- Bare feet and legs, or footless skin-coloured tights with bare feet*
Grade 3 and above
- Black cotton thin strap leotard (with built in bra if required)
- Black, full circular, Single lyrical skirt (3/4 length) - made to order from Star Dancewear
- Bare feet and legs, or footless skin-coloured tights with bare feet*
Male students should wear Black vest or leotard with black shorts or leggings. Lyrical skirt is students choice. Bare feet*.
*Ballet shoes can be worn in class however, when are getting closer to an exam, we will ask them to remove them so they get used to having bare feet.
Modern Jazz Uniform
Junior Modern Jazz - Preparatory or Primary
Vocational - Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1 or Advanced 2
Musical Theatre Uniform
All levels
- Plain black leggings, shorts or Vicky Grant joggers (can be purchased at our SHOP)
- Black Vicky Grant branded t-shirt or football shirt (can be purchased at our SHOP)
- Black socks
- Black jazz shoes
Street Dance Uniform
Due to its 'freestyle' nature, there is no set uniform for street dance students providing what they wear is comfortable, with ease of movement. We suggest leggings, shorts or joggers, and a t-shirt. They must have clean, comfortable trainers that have not been worn outside.

Junior Tap - Class Award 1 & 2, Preparatory, Primary and Introduction to Grade 1
